What was life like before you started using our product/service?
“I was generally happy with my previous chemical company. At a surface level, at least. Their product certainly seemed to do the job, but I was not as content with their service. It was always difficult to get follow ups from the rep on my needs, and if I slipped in my attention to chemical levels (i.e. did not stay proactive with ordering) there was a very real concern that I would run out before new chemicals would be sent. Triton has definitely taken a significant level of anxiety out of the chemical process for that reason alone, where I don't have to stress over whether my rep will keep updated on my needs and whether I will get the product I need in a timely manner.“
What problem(s) were you trying to solve with our product or service?
“Keeping a brewery clean where the water is so hard that it influences the effectiveness of chemicals. Having water hardness over 300 ppm, we have always fought accumulation of calcium scale on our stainless, particularly in there areas of heat exchange (i.e. Heat exchanger plates, steam jackets, etc.) It has been Triton's service, however that has kept me a customer. My previous chemical company was also working with me on cleanliness in the presence of hard water, but Triton's service of making sure I have the product I need when I need it, and it has been a game changer.”
What makes our product or service stand out from other options?
“Ultimately two things. First off is concentration of caustic. I am using less product than I would in the past to do the same, or better, job. That translates to less cost and that makes everyone happy on our end. Especially because caustic is used so often, it is a major factor in who to use. Second off, and more importantly, is the level of service I receive. If there is one thing that convinced me to change over to Triton, it was how different the level of attention my rep, Todd, provides. I can trust that Todd will check in at least every other week, usually in person, to see if I need anything. And when I need to put in an order, I know that the chemical will be in my hand within a day or two. I can not express enough how different this is from my last supplier, and how much stress it puts on me, running a brewery, without assurance of when a needed chemical would be available. If we run out, we can not do our job until we are resupplied. If I can't do my job, beer supply is affected, distribution is affected, and everything else downstream is affected. Truly, chemical and chemical supply is one of the most important components in what makes a brewery work.”
What would you tell someone who's considering our business?
“Give Triton a shot! At the very least listen to what they have to say about what needs they can help you with. I feel there is a lot of parity in brewing chemicals, but I have never had the level of attention and service from a vendor before than I have from Triton. And that alone is a reason to have them in your brewhouse.”
